The Center of Technical Textiles and Manufactures – CETIM provides technological solutions for the production, development and compliance of products in the areas of textiles, garments, leathers, footwears and personal/collective protection equipments (PPE and CPE). It offers specialized services for the characterization and performance evaluation of materials, based on national and international standards, as well as training to assist research development (R&D&I) aiming optimization and creation of new products and materials in processes with lower environmental impacts in the production, use and final disposal.

CETIM comprises two laboratories: Textiles Materials and Products Laboratory  (LTC) and the Footwear and Protection Products Laboratory (LCPP).
