IPT develops technical studies for forest valuation and environmental damage evaluation to be used as instruments for the analysis of reports on environmental findings, initial technical and environmental feasibility reports and project strategy.

These studies are developed in the field, starting with an evaluation of forest conditions in terms of species and commercial volumes, which serve to determine a monetary value for their exploitation. An important tool for this estimate is the forest inventory, which allows for investigations and specialized technological surveys of a forest’s resources.

Public and private interest demands for technical and economic evaluation of environmental damage are met by means of estimates of forestry variables, using an historic, market and environmental approach; supplying complete studies of legal interest in the form of technical reports and opinions.
