Human health risk analysis in contaminated areas
Contaminated areas often present toxic and cancer risks to people in surrounding areas. The concentration and proximity of urban and industrial centers makes it necessary for environmental authorities to more effectively control contaminated areas and the potential risk to humans in the vicinity.
IPT performs evaluation services of human health risks, following USEPA (United States Environmental Protection Agency) and CETESB procedures. These analyses may be combined with numerical modeling of aquifers, providing sufficient data for decision making in recovery projects.
